Learning Resource

Learning Resource is a daily scheduled and supervised period of study to assist students who need extra time to complete homework, assignments and tests. In order to have a tutorial period students must have a diagnosed disability that impedes their learning. If space is available, students whose names are brought forward as potentially benefiting from Learning Resource may be placed into a tutorial period. This discussion should start with the student’s advisory teacher.

When selecting a tutorial period on the registration form, a Learning Resource teacher’s signature is required for verification.

Students do not gain a credit for tutorial and may register for a maximum of two tutorials per school year.

Grade 9s are eligible to have a tutorial in their schedule, and will have to replace either a PAA/Fine Arts class, or Physical Education to accommodate the required classes.
